When you can't accept what a person is saying, then it makes no sense to you. Jesus was claiming over and over again that He had the attributes of God. In essence, He was telling them that He was their God. Because they could not understand how that could be true, they could not accept it or anything else He said.
If a person who dressed like a homeless vagrant tells you that he is a billionaire, you probably can't believe it. As a result, you can't understand the rest of what they are saying. When He claimed to own a 5,000 square foot penthouse in Manhattan, you dismiss it because you did not believe that he was who he said he was.
Judge using true judgment from the Holy Spirit. If you judge a person in your own wisdom, and not God's, you may misjudge them and refuse anything that conflicts with your false judgment. Jesus did not conform to their man-made rules, so they dismissed Him. They concluded that He could not be from God. Therefore, they concluded that His miracles had to be from the devil, even though the devil "comes only to steal, kill, and destroy."
