Isa. 1:20

"But if you refuse and rebel, You will be devoured by the sword." Truly, the mouth of the LORD has spoken. [NASB]

ἐὰν δὲ μὴ θέλητε μηδὲ εἰσακούσητέ μου μάχαιρα ὑμᾶς κατέδεται τὸ γὰρ στόμα κυρίου ἐλάλησεν ταῦτα
Hebrew
וְאִם־תְּמָֽאֲנ֖וּ וּמְרִיתֶ֑ם חֶ֣רֶב תְּאֻכְּל֔וּ כִּ֛י פִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה דִּבֵּֽר

Comments

If you rebel --

When a person opposes God, they are opened up to demonic forces who hate and oppose the God of Glory. They also hate anyone who serves Him. To rebel against God opens a person to attacks by the enemy. God's protection is removed and they are able to attack you.
