Religious Works are Worthless Without Repentance and Obedience --

The people were unrepentant but they continued religious observances. In fact, they doubled-down and increased the number of sacrifices.

God was less than impressed. He was sickened. This was an abomination to Him.

WARNING: Doing things for God on your own without repentance or obedience is the worst thing you could do. It would be better to have done nothing at all. WHENEVER YOU APPROACH GOD, FIRST SEARCH YOUR HEART. DO NOT COME BEFORE HIM WITHOUT HAVING FIRST REPENTED AND HUMBLED YOURSELF.
